March 2
Sabrina, bina, baby Girl, Princess, Miss Priss. She seems to have many names and many talents. Sabrina will be 10 years old in June. I am not looking forward to her getting old. I see it a little in her every so often. She moves a little slower, her eyes are starting to go bad and she gets grumpy when her little sister gets too hyper. But she is full of dignity and grace, as much as a dog can. When she's walking and we pass a group of people she prances to show off how beautiful she is. She's gentle with kids, that's one thing we made sure of when she was a puppy! And man oh man is she a talker! She woos at anything and everything. We have conversations where I ask a question and she woos at me. We can get her to woo to sound like "Momma" and I have been trying to get her to also say "I Love You". She's never liked hard toys or balls and always has been content with her stuffed "babies". The first night we brought her home she cried, and cried and cried some more. I tried so hard to leave her in her kennel. I was bound and determined that she was going to be kennel trained. Well by 4am and 4 hours before I was suppose to be at work I gave in and "baby girl" same to bed with Momma and Daddy. She went to her kennel when we were at work, or if she was naughty. We left it there so that she had her own space. Eventually she started just going to her kennel when she wanted to lay down. She was still sleeping on our bed at night. That lasted until Isaboo came along. We decided that 3 dogs in our bed just wasn't going to work out. The one thing that will surprise you about Sabrina is that she hates the cold! She much rather be in the house under the blankets than outside in the cold! So much for being a snow dog! I know one day she's not going be here. It will be a heartbreaking day but I try to make sure that everyday she's here with us that she knows that she's loved and will always be our baby girl.
